The best quote of the 21st Century

"When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and you're life is just to live your life inside the world.  Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money.....That's a very limited life.  Life can be so much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it.  You can influence it, you can mold it, you can build your own things that other people can use.  Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again."

They Are Poisoning Us!: Short History of Monsanto and toxic GMO's

There is an epidemic going on in America. Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's) are becoming more and more prevalent with each passing month. There are too many Americans who are kept in the dark about this issue. Everyone deserves to know what is going into the food that they are eating and feeding their children.  So, what exactly are GMO's?
As previously mentioned, GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organisms and Monsanto is the driving force behind the production of these harmful GMO's. GMO's get such a bad rap because, well, they deserve it. In plants, gene splicing occurs. This is just simply inserting a gene into a seed of a plant so that it adheres to the characteristics that are fulfilled by some mad scientist who created the "franken-seed." So, for example, if some corporate giant like Monsanto (more on them later), wanted to bio-engineer a seed that preserved a certain protein in an apple that kept the cell wall from deteriorating as would have normally occurred in nature, he can do just that.
This results in bio-engineered plants and vegetables that have increased shelf-life, and are able to be shipped a much further distance compared to their organically grown cousins. GMO's are proven to be detrimental to not only our health, but also to the environment.

Lets start with Monsanto. Who is Monsanto? Monsanto was a chemical company that was founded in 1901, and its first product produced was the artificial sweetener, saccharin. They began producing PCB's in the 1930's and began developing herbicides such as herbicide 2,4-D in 1945 after joining the agricultural market. PCB's are carcinogenic and are harmful to the liver, endocrine system, immune system, reproductive system, skin, eyes and brain.
It is important to note that it wasn't until 1960 that Monsanto created an agricultural division. This is when they started producing pesticides such as their famous Roundup, Lasso, Warrant and others. Monsanto was also infamous for its production of the deadly chemical known as, agent orange, which was used extensively in the Vietnam war. The byproduct of agent orange during the manufacturing process is dioxin. Dioxin is a carcinogen so potent that it is actually measured in parts per trillion, and is extremely hazardous to both us and the environment.
Monsanto is also responsible for the genetically engineered product, recombinant bovine growth hormone (rbGH) which was developed to increase production of milk in cows. It wasn't until 1966 that it brought the genetically engineered Roundup ready soybeans to the market. Monsanto's pesticide product line have all been known to be harmful to both humans and the environment. On the list of products are, Alachlor (carcinogen, water contaminant and developmental/reproductive toxin. Acetochlor (carcinogen and suspected endocrine disruptor ). Atrizine (carcinogen and suspected endocrine disruptor). Clopyralid (high accute toxicity). Decamba (developmental, reproductive toxin), and Thiodicarb (a carcinogen and cholinesterase inhibitor).
The reason all of this is so concerning is because Monsanto is producing around 93% of all soybean production in the United States as well as around 80% of cotton and around 73% of corn. All coming from one giant, corporate, money hungry machine who has no regard for human or environmental health. Their only concern is profit, and until we decide to do something about it, a majority of the produce we consume will contain toxic GMO's.

Check out this study that just came out linking GMO's to blood cell disorders and leukemia. This study was published in the Journal of Hematology and Thromboembolic Diseases. Share this with everyone you know. The more we spread the word, the more change we will bring.

Just a few facts about the Federal Reserve....

1) The Federal Reserve was created in 1913
2) The Federal Reserve is a privately owned banking cartel. It is no more "federal" than Federal Express
3) WE the people do not elect any of these individuals into power.
4) The exact shareholdings are not public record.
5) Since the Federal Reserve was created in 1913, the US dollar has lost 96% of value.
6) Due to the introduction of the Federal Reserve, the 16th amendment to the constitution was ratified . (Personal income tax) which, here in America, we will spend arpund 3 months of our year working to pay off taxes.
7) The Federal Reserve is responsible for printing the currency that we use. Whenever government needs more money than it has it simply asks the Federal Reserve to print more. It is important to note that the entire monetary system was created in debt. For debt=money. money cannot exist without there being debt. This is an important principal to understand. It is also important to know that the money is not just given to the government. It is loaned to them by the fed, and is expected to be paid back with principal + interest. A logical question arises. Where does the money for the interest come from? You guessed it. It has to be borrowed. See how this system works now? It's an endless cycle of debt.

I encourage everyone to always ask questions about everything. We all need to be educated and shed light on just how this system works that governs our very existence. Knowledge is power!

First blog woooo

The reason for creating the redwhiteandtrue blog was to inform and educate people about what is really going on in the word in which we live in. We are concerned college students that want to make a difference. From books to documentaries to doing our own research, we have all came to the same conclusion. Something needs to change. We are nearing the end of this socioeconomic monetary paradigm. knowledge is power, and with enough of an educated population we will have the power to create change. WE have the power. It's time for everyone to wake up.
